Life! You take the good with the bad, the turns with the twists and you keep on going. Along the way you meet many people, some who leave footprints, others leave holes, but with each experience you learn about yourself and build your strength. Poetry has always been my strength to get through the toughest of times. Being a survivor of that vicious cycle of abuse, I have had to battle some rough days, but now as a wife and mother I battle new turns and twists. I welcome each new experience with both open arms and mind.
This collection of poems may revisit the demons of the past that can sneak into the present, but battles through them and cherishes the brightness of today, while awaiting the greatness of tomorrow. The oldies but goodies section contains the prose that I found in an old box, waiting to be shared…so I am. Remember, as adults, even the lemonade we had as kids can bring back memories, but with life’s amazing twists!

I love poetry and I am so happy that I found Amanda Harter and her books. This is her second book of poetry and just like the first, her work comes straight from the heart and from experience. That, to me, makes the best poetry. I loved the book and I must share that my two favorite poems are, True Beauty and As. True Beauty makes you look deeper into yourself and change how you look and feel about yourself. The poem As was just HOT! I rate this book 4.5 stars and look forward to so much more from this author!!Product details

Twisted Lemonade, I love this book.
The way the poetry was written is good.
I love how the author put the things that happened in life in a creative way.
The emotions are there and I love how it was easy to relate with.
This book is my first poetry book that I've reviewed and so far, I'm not disappointed with it.
Ms. Amanda did a good job in writing this poetry.
Another fabulously emotional poetry book by Amanda Harter. Demons-Angels was absolutely my favorite, I could relate to each word she wrote and also feel power behind it. Amazing!
